Job Title: Consultant Cardiology WSI in Medical Education

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Cardiologist to join our dynamic team within NHS Lothian. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality cardiology services and leading the undergraduate teaching programme within the Cardiology Department at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality cardiology services within NHS Lothian
  • Lead and deliver the undergraduate teaching programme within the Cardiology Department
  • Develop and implement educational programmes for medical students and junior doctors
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Full GMC Registration and a license to practise
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview
  • Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded
