About the Job:
Scantec is seeking an experienced Nuclear Project Engineer to join their team. This role requires SC Clearance and offers a hybrid work model, with a minimum of 2 days in the office every 2 weeks.

As a Nuclear Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering complex mechanical engineering projects, collaborating with internal teams and group company colleagues. Key responsibilities include producing and managing technical project deliverables, offering technical oversight on sub-contract work, and participating in design reviews. The successful candidate will also play a key role in bid support and ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver complex mechanical engineering projects, meeting client expectations and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and group company colleagues to achieve project goals.
  • Produce and manage technical project deliverables, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Offer technical oversight on sub-contract packages of work.
  • Attend and actively contribute to engineering/project meetings.
  • Participate in and contribute to sub-contractor/client design reviews.
  • Check and review engineering and project deliverables, offering constructive feedback.
  • Provide bid support and help shape technical proposals.

Requirements:
  • Experienced Nuclear Project Engineer with experience in optioneering and developing project requirements.
  • Proficiency in interpreting mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Authoring engineering documentation.
  • HVAC or nuclear ventilation experience.
  • Experience with Inventor or other solid modelling CAD software.
  • Understanding of the project lifecycle and how projects are delivered within Clients.
  • Basic knowledge of the UK Nuclear Industry.
  • Familiarity with radiological controls in projects delivered by Client.
  • Comfortable handling confidential and commercial information.

The estimated salary for this position is £58,000-£68,000 per annum, depending on experience.
