Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Warhead Surety Engineer to join our Enhanced Nuclear Safety Team at AWE. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new technologies and products to enhance the safety, security, and dependability of current and future product systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to undertake frequent visits to UK and overseas delivery partners. This role requires a strong degree or equivalent in an engineering or science-related discipline, as well as excellent understanding of Systems Engineering methods and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Frequent visits to UK and overseas delivery partners
  • Developing new technologies and products to enhance nuclear safety and security
  • Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists
  • Functional verification and validation testing/trials
