About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Theatre Coordinator for Patient Flow and Operations. As a key member of our theatre team, you will be responsible for maintaining the Trust's multifaceted theatre schedule for main theatres, including the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre (PEOC), Child & Women's Health (CWH), West of England Eye Unit (WEEU) and 5 Community Theatres.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate theatre schedules, ensuring efficient patient flow and minimizing delays.
  • Oversee theatre staffing levels, escalating any issues related to safe staffing or equipment failure.
  • Coordinate surgical and orthopaedic admissions to Knapp Ward, developing alternative plans when necessary.
  • Liaise with community sites to negotiate cross-cover, resolving any challenges with theatre staffing, anaesthetic cover, or equipment issues.
