About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Plant Ecology with specific knowledge and expertise in vegetation surveying. Alongside a detailed knowledge of land use ecology, relevant industry experience and research interest would be desirable but not essential.

You will be passionate about teaching, possessing excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will devise innovative teaching and assessments, seminars, and tutorials and support dissertation students in their projects.

The successful candidate will have experience in the HE sector and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate ideas of a complex or technical nature to students effectively using a variety of teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and leading modules in Plant Ecology
  • Conducting research in vegetation surveying and land use ecology
  • Mentoring and supporting students in their projects
