Financial Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Reed Boardall Group's finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Raising sales invoices in a timely and accurate manner, as well as dealing with billing enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner.
  2. Supporting the payroll process, including processing the weekly payroll for all departments in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Maintaining purchase ledger records, ensuring timely and quality financial processing is provided and maintained in accordance with Reed Boardall Group procedures.
  4. Managing credit control, including checking customers' credit and approving or denying applications based on company standards and requirements, as well as ensuring customers pay on time and chasing any overdue invoices.
  5. Producing and developing reports for internal stakeholders on a weekly or ad-hoc basis.
  6. Supporting the management accountant in preparing and analysing the management accounts where required.

Requirements and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of general IT systems and applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, and databases.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Experience of maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Experience of prioritising workload, time management, and dealing with conflicting priorities.

Desirable Skills

The following skills would be beneficial:

  • Previous experience of general financial administrative practices and procedures.
  • Experience with Pegasus Opera 3 (Payroll and Accounts Package).
  • Experience of producing financial documentation using information technology.

Working Hours

The successful candidate will work a standard Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 (40 hours) shift pattern.
