Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with Expertise in Urogynaecology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Urogynaecology and vaginal surgery, and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Gynaecology service.
About the RoleThis is a substantive Consultant position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex gynaecological needs. The role will involve a range of clinical and educational responsibilities, including teaching and training of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with gynaecological conditions.
- Contribute to the development of our Gynaecology service, including the design and implementation of new clinical pathways and protocols.
- Teach and train junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities, including audit and research.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- Specialist Registration or within 6 months of obtaining registration at the time of interview.
- ATSM in advanced labour ward practice and ATSM in urogynaecology and vaginal surgery.
- Possession of relevant Postgraduate Qualification or equivalent.
