About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Analysis Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Radiological Characterization team, you will be responsible for the development and application of strong capabilities with computer codes such as MicroShield, MCNP, and RayXpert, as well as in-house Python calculation codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply strong capabilities with computer codes such as MicroShield, MCNP, and RayXpert, as well as in-house Python calculation codes.
  • Write technical specifications and follow-up of orders for the procurement of measurement systems and radiological campaigns.
  • Develop a strong expertise in the field of radiological characterization based on national and international references.
  • Deliver 'quality on time' by getting all support required in terms of technical training, coaching, and availability of (IT) resources.
  • Verify work performed by colleagues to guarantee the expected high quality level.
  • Participate actively in regular meetings with colleagues to discuss workload, technical issues, project follow-up, development strategy, and transversal activity coordination.
Requirements
  • A master's degree or PhD in engineering or sciences, preferably in physics, with a strong technical background and a will to further develop technical expertise.
  • Relevant experience (at least 3 years), preferably in the nuclear industry, expertise in data processing and analysis, or Contract Owner is desirable.
  • Proficiency in English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IT-tools and relevant software and codes such as MicroShield, MCNP, RayXpert. Python knowledge is considered a plus.
