About the Role

As an Electrical Shift Manager at Butlins, you will be responsible for the efficient running of our Electrical Function within our Skegness resort. Your primary goal will be to ensure that the highest standard of service is met consistently, delighting our guests and receiving positive feedback.

Leading a team to deliver exceptional service to our customers, you will also ensure that the team is always engaged and practicing best standards. Your duties will include routine maintenance, servicing, and repairing of domestic, commercial, and electrical equipment.

You will manage project works with both team members and subcontractors, planning and operating the rota system, including on-call systems. Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to work a 5-day week over 7 days, with occasional late work and at least one weekend day per week.

As part of the Resorts Management team, you will be responsible for managing both your internal team and external service providers to ensure full compliance with all H&S policies. You will also oversee all team activities within the department, including recruitment, performance, and team development.

You should be a strong advocate for your team's fulfillment at work, ensuring regular 's and PDP discussions to support their development and career with Butlins.

With a focus on delivering an excellent guest experience, you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority.

About You We are looking for an experienced electrical leader who can support the team to deliver fantastic service, putting the guests first in everything you do.

You will have experience in training and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment to deliver an excellence experience. You should have previous experience in leading teams, with an ability to prioritize a demanding workload, work on your own initiative, and a sound understanding of how to operate a PC/Microsoft suite.

You should be confident to direct and respond in any situation while delivering consistent brand standards. The ability to lead, motivate, and engage your team, even at periods of high demand, is important, as well as being able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements.

With strong leadership skills, you should be confident in inspiring your team to deliver amazing results for our teams and guests every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for managing the team during a shift on key tasks and objectives.
  • Driving add-on sales and promotions and supporting the team to do the same.
  • Ensuring all stock/proposition is available for guests.
  • Monitoring consistent delivery of a quality guest experience in line with brand/venue guidelines.
  • Ensuring any guest feedback is captured.
  • Provides accurate rota's 3 weeks in advance through SAM for all team within the venue and takes accountability for ensuring the accuracy of closing the system.
  • Monitors NPS and takes action where possible on guest feedback.
  • Coach and develop the team to ensure departmental plans are met.
  • Be a champion of the Butlins Values and Leadership Behaviours.
  • Ensure we always have a focus on RPRRT in the way we rota team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the resort, other resorts, and Butlins central support teams.
  • Responsibility, where required, for people support of the department, including all people tasks from onboarding through the employee life cycle.
