Job Title: Group Leader, Risk Management

We are a leading manufacturer of a diverse and trusted range of concrete and clay building products used extensively within the construction sector, with instantly recognizable brands such as Thermalite blocks, London Brick, Ecostock, Cradley, Formpave and Jetfloor, Bison Precast.

Our product range comprises of clay bricks, Thermalite blocks, aggregate blocks, Red Bank chimney, roofing and flue systems, precast concrete and flooring products and Formpave permeable paving.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safety First: Ensure that safety is always paramount, and that no risks are taken.
  2. Housekeeping: Ensure the shop floor and all other related areas are kept clean and tidy, using a 'clean as you go' approach.
  3. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement of all activities within the work area.
  4. Training: Utilize SOPs (and develop them where necessary), train your team to the required standard, and complete records of such training.
  5. Quality: Monitor product quality and react appropriately to ensure sub-standard product is quarantined/rejected, and any re-occurrence of non-quality is minimized.
  6. Reporting: Report accurately, honestly and in a timely manner, any issues to management.
  7. CSCS Trained: Visit sites, but may be attained later with prior agreement.
  8. Risk Assessment and SOP Experience: Utilize risk assessment and SOP experience to drive improvement.
