Job Summary:
RPS Group is seeking a highly skilled Extraction Chemist to join our Laboratory Team in a commercial laboratory environment. As a recent Graduate in Chemistry, you will have the opportunity to build your experience and work under the guidance of a Senior Analytical Chemist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various types of sample extraction and preparation in accordance with established quality procedures.
- Maintain a working stock of consumables and chemicals essential for daily activities and tasks.
- Conduct a range of laboratory checks, including calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment such as pipettes, balances, and other bench tools.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a small team to ensure that work is completed on time and to the required standards of quality.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of basic laboratory skills and techniques, including use of pipettes, balances, syringes, titrations, and dilutions.
- Understanding of Quality Control/Quality Assurance processes and their importance within a laboratory environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
Working Environment:
You will be working in a fast-paced, commercial laboratory environment with rapidly changing priorities. As part of the Extraction Development scheme, you will have the opportunity to see your salary rise through regular performance reviews.
