SEN Support Worker for Children with Autism

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join our team at Pink Tile Education Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to develop and adapt learning resources for children with high needs Autism in KS1 and KS2 classes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support children with Autism in their daily activities and learning.
• Implement communication strategies and visual aids tailored to individual needs.
• Work closely with teachers to develop and adapt learning resources.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
• Encourage social interaction and engagement among students.
Essential Experience/Attributes:
• Previous experience working with children that have special educational needs.
• Experience working with high needs Autism and challenging behaviours.
• A DBS check registered on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
• The ability to be adaptable, remain calm in challenging situations, and respond to the needs of the pupils.
• Must be able to understand and follow the school's safeguarding procedures and behavioural policies.
