Rm Recruit is delighted to present an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client's finance team in Sutton Coldfield. This part-time, temporary position offers the chance to work 21 hours per week for approximately 6 months and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will report directly to the Finance Director and play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by managing key aspects of the organisation's daily financial operations.

Main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Transaction processing, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Preparing financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Conducting regular reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier statements, and other financial records.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and preparing for internal and external audits.
  • Managing the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Monitoring and processing expense claims.
  • Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and assisting with special projects.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software such as SAGE 50 or similar accounting systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £30-£40 per hour, depending on your level of experience.
