About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Account Handler to join our Edinburgh office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing renewal schedules, handling new business inquiries, and managing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare renewal schedules and proactively engage with clients to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Handle new business inquiries and provide customized quotations to potential clients.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to explore alternative quotes and find the best solutions for clients.
  • Manage all documentation, including invoices and credit notes, to ensure a seamless renewal experience.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to maximize revenue.
  • Prioritize client requests and strive for satisfactory outcomes, building strong relationships with clients.
  • Adhere to compliance procedures and maintain organized file management.
  • Foster positive relationships with insurance companies and ensure smooth communication.
  • Monitor delegated authority and maintain an effective credit control system.
Requirements
  • Experience in obtaining information from clients via telephone and email.
  • Good customer service skills, both written and oral.
  • Good negotiating skills and ability to build relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Good organizational ability.
