We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Building Officer to join our team at Orbit. As a key member of our Customer & Communities department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sheltered housing schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage sheltered housing in line with Orbit's policies and procedures, providing high-quality support to older and vulnerable people.
  • Advocate for sheltered housing, promoting the service with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the maintenance of H&S requirements, administration, and void management within the scheme.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, adhering to the code of conduct and professional boundaries.
What You'll Bring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen and develop a clear understanding of situations.
  • Competent user of ICT, with experience of using in-house IT packages such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of the issues faced by older people or vulnerable groups.
  • Effective problem-solving and negotiating skills.
