Job Title: Compliance and Building Safety Manager

About the Role:

The Compliance and Building Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UK standards across all council housing stock through regular inspections, addressing non-compliance issues, and overseeing specific inspections such as gas safety and fire risk assessments. The role requires collaboration with Customer Liaison Officers to achieve 100% access to council homes for gas servicing and electrical testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with UK standards across all council housing stock through regular inspections.
  • Address non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Oversee specific inspections such as gas safety and fire risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with Customer Liaison Officers to achieve 100% access to council homes for gas servicing and electrical testing.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Building services-related degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Understanding of compliance management.
  • At least 5 years of qualitative experience.
  • Staff and project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows applications.
