Procurement and Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Sourcing Specialist to join our client's business in Northamptonshire. As a key member of their buying team, you will be responsible for owning categories and supporting strategic business goals.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable business that values efficiency and ongoing professional development. The role is based in Northamptonshire, with 3 days on-site and 2 days from home.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 4 years+ experience in a sourcing role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change quickly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with international suppliers and communications

A market-leading package is on offer, including:

  • Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Bonus scheme
  • Pension contribution
  • 25 days annual leave (33 total inc. BH)
  • Carry over of 5 days at LM discretion

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reporting into head of procurement level
  • Analysing the market to assess potential for new products and services
  • Leading category management and sourcing projects to optimise ranges
  • Developing an exit strategy for unsuccessful products
  • Building and driving relationships with key vendors to improve pricing, terms, and quality of service
  • Negotiating with suppliers to ensure maximum profitability
  • Providing quick solutions to sales challenges
  • Creating a long-term sourcing plan to drive continuous cost reductions/improved value
