Patient Coordinator

Ash Grove Medical Centre is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Patient Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our front desk team, you will provide excellent service to our patients, working closely with our clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure the highest standards of care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Receive incoming calls, emails, and online requests from patients, dealing with enquiries and booking appointments.
- Care navigate patients to the most appropriate service, recording messages and passing them on to the relevant doctor.
- Take requests for home visits and contact patients via telephone, text, email, or letter to arrange follow-ups as requested by clinicians or management.
- Receive patients at the reception front desk, marking their arrival on the computer, making appointments, handing out prescriptions, and dealing with any queries that may arise.
- Carry out partner instructions and requests, and cover colleagues' annual leave and sickness.
- Accept specimen samples at the reception desk, register new and temporary patients, and maintain a smart appearance.
- Be conversant with and adhere to all written guidelines and protocols, including the health and safety manual, in-house complaints procedure, and fire alarm procedure.
The post holder must be aware of the responsibility placed on them under the Health & Safety Act 1974 and ensure that agreed safety procedures are carried out to maintain a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.
