We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Support Specialist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children and young people with excess weight and their families to achieve a healthy weight and healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver family support programs to support children and young people with excess weight and their families.
- Work with a range of partners to develop and deliver CYP and family-centred support.
- Support the Operational Lead in collation of data and information in relation to CYP healthier weight and the B&D Children and Young People (CYP) Obesity Programme.
- Support parents/carers and CYP through the programme.
- Work with 0-19 Universal Services to provide a range of support and capacity building work in local organisations to increase support for participants on the CYP Obesity programme.
- Scope and coproduce a tailored approach for CYP with additional Special Educational Needs and their families/carers.
- Diploma level qualification in Nutrition or Physical Activity or equivalent knowledge gained through multiple specialist training/courses.
- Experience of delivering health programmes that improve health and tackle health inequalities.
- Ability to implement effective health promotion programmes for 0-19 population that tackle childhood obesity.
