Responsibilities:
- To teach and support students with moderate learning difficulties, delivering tailored lessons to meet their individual needs.
- To develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring that students' learning goals are specific, measurable, and achievable.
- To work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and other staff members to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- To monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to ensure continuous development.
- To foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student engagement, confidence, and independence.
- To work closely with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching students with moderate learning difficulties.
- A strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions, particularly for moderate learning difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
