We are seeking a skilled and empathetic caseworker to join our team at Victim Support Gloucestershire. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of victims and their families, providing vital support and guidance throughout the criminal justice process.

Job Summary

This is a 37.5 hour per week position, based at our Gloucester office, with regular travel within the Gloucestershire area. A valid driving license is essential for this role. As a caseworker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services that meet the needs of victims and promote their well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage a caseload of service users, providing tailored support and information to address their specific needs
  • Undertake risk and needs assessments to identify and address complex issues
  • Provide advocacy and information to enable service users to navigate the criminal justice process and understand their rights
  • Collaborate with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to addressing safeguarding concerns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or families
  • A commitment to promoting equal opportunities, inclusion, and diversity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong IT and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  • High resilience and the ability to work under pressure
