About the Job:
We are looking for an experienced Autism Support Worker to join our team at an adult day centre in Guildford. As an integral member of our team, you will provide high-quality support to autistic adult learners, helping them to achieve their goals and develop essential life skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to autistic adult learners, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs
- Facilitate group sessions and activities, promoting social interaction and skill-building
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and consistent communication
- Contribute to the development of support plans and risk assessments
Requirements:
- Experience working with autistic adults or children
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours and de-escalate conflicts
- Valid driving license or access to transportation
- Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required
