Data Practitioner Lead
Matchtech is currently seeking a highly skilled Data Practitioner Lead to join their team. This role involves managing and controlling finance aspects of IT Product Group OpEx budget, focusing on cost accounting, budgeting, financial reconciliation and reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the OpEx budget to cost, timescales and quality.
Main Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records of all cost-related finance data and decisions, and ensure they are accessible.
• Progress risk (and opportunity) identification, assessment, cost and risk mitigation plans for services outside of the formal budget.
• Prepare and articulate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management.
• Participate in financial audits.
• Provide financial guidance and support to sub-cost account teams that make up the overall Product Group budget.
• Identify and support implementation of cost savings and efficiencies within the budget.
• Maintain cost account systems, procedures, processes and practices to track OpEx costs.
Requirements:
• Typically working to SFIA level 4
• Proven experience in Cost Account Management
• Takes on a lead role, providing consultancy advice, guidance and mentorship to sub-Cost Account Management Teams
• Benchmarks and reviews improved ways of working, continually seeking opportunities for quality improvement and cost reduction
• Good understanding of the ITIL4 framework
• Experience of working in an IT Function
• Proficient in financial management software (ideally SAP, but Oracle, or similar)
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel
• Risk management background
• Trained at least to ITIL foundation, and either appropriate ITIL Intermediate or other appropriate capability training
• Knowledge of working within a SIAM operating model would be beneficial
The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
