Senior Digital Software Engineer

At Ventula Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Software Engineer to join our team and support the development of cutting-edge real-time embedded firmware solutions.

This is a key role that requires strong commercial experience in developing real-time software using languages such as C/C++ and Python. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of digital signal processing algorithm development and be able to work collaboratively with the engineering team to implement innovative software architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong awareness of networking and internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, etc.) and be able to design and develop software solutions that meet the business requirements. A background in GNSS positioning (signal generation) or inertial technology is highly desirable.

This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary of up to £90,000 plus excellent benefits. The role is flexible, with occasional days spent in our client's Devon or Daventry office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the engineering team to understand and analyse requirements and implement real-time solutions.
  • Design and develop innovative software architecture.
  • Liaise with software and hardware functions to ensure an optimal design process.
  • Support the development and deployment of products across the software development life cycle.
  • Orchestrate and automate testing.

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience in developing real-time software using C/C++ and Python.
  • Exposure to digital signal processing algorithm development.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills.

Desirable:
