Senior Digital Software Engineer

At Ventula Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Software Engineer to join our team and support the development of cutting-edge real-time embedded firmware solutions.

This is a key role that requires strong commercial experience in developing real-time software using languages such as C/C++ and Python. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering team to understand and analyse requirements, and implement the most suitable real-time solutions for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital signal processing algorithm development and excellent communication skills. A background in GNSS positioning or inertial technology is highly desirable, as is a strong awareness of networking and internet protocols.

This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The role is flexible, with occasional days spent in our clients' offices in Devon or Daventry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing real-time software solutions using C/C++ and Python
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to understand and analyse requirements
  • Implementing real-time solutions for our clients
  • Liaising with software and hardware functions to ensure optimal design processes
  • Supporting the development and deployment of products across the software development life cycle
  • Orchestrating and automating testing

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience in developing real-time software
  • Exposure to digital signal processing algorithm development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desirable: background in GNSS positioning or inertial technology, strong awareness of networking and internet protocols
