Chief Engineer (Tug) - UK - Permanent

Navis Consulting is recruiting on behalf of our reputable client, a leading player in the maritime industry, who is seeking a highly skilled Chief Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out operational services to ships in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to statutory and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct ships' husbandry and Health & Safety checks onboard the vessel, rectifying and/or reporting faults as required.
  • Supervise and train all other engineering staff under their control, ensuring they meet the necessary standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum STCW III/3 certification
  • All STCW basic training up to date
  • ENG1 Medical with at least 6 months until expiry
  • Ability to analyze engineering situations and submit detailed, accurate written and oral reports
  • Strong administrative/computer skills
