Job Title: Air Import Gateway Agent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Air Import Gateway Agent to join our team at Expeditors. As a key member of our Gateway department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Gateway colleagues to ensure seamless freight process flow.
  • Accurately and efficiently enter data into our operating system.
  • Track and trace Air Import files as required, utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Manage work and visibility within the department using Workflow Monitors.
  • Collaborate with Expeditors branches and departments to arrange international shipments, meeting expected service standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, including Airlines, Hauliers, and Ground Handling Agents.
  • Ensure timely updates to PNCs.
  • Meet compliance requirements, including internal policies and procedures, and applicable external regulatory requirements.
  • Identify areas for improved efficiency and contribute to process improvements within the department.
  • Meet KPI standards, as per company procedures.
  • Provide timely responses to internal and external communications, including emails and requests.
  • Assist peers with workloads or problems, offering support where needed.

Work Schedule: This is a shift-based position, working 4 on and 4 off from 06:00 to 18:00.

Requirements:

  • A solid understanding of airfreight processes is desirable.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including listening, comprehension, and clear communication.
  • Pro-active organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English.
