Job Title: Air Import Gateway Agent

Expeditors is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Air Import Gateway Agent to join our team. As an Air Import Gateway Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely movement of freight and information within our Air Import Gateway department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Gateway colleagues to ensure seamless freight process flow.
  • Accurately and efficiently enter data into our operating system.
  • Track and trace Air Import files as required, utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Utilize Workflow Monitors to manage work and visibility within the department.
  • Interact with Expeditors branches and departments to arrange international shipments, meeting expected service standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, including Airlines, Hauliers, and Ground Handling Agents.
  • Ensure timely updates to PNCs.
  • Comply with all regulations, including internal policies and procedures, and applicable externally governed requirements.
  • Continuously improve department process flow, identifying areas for increased efficiency.
  • Meet KPI standards, as per company procedures.
  • Provide timely responses to internal and external communications, including emails and requests.
  • Assist peers with workloads or problems, offering support when needed.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the department.
Personal Development:
  • Meet the company standard of 52 hours of training per year, as a minimum expectation.
  • Attend training classes as required.
  • Complete mandatory online training when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities for self-improvement and target training to challenge yourself.

This is a shift-based position, working 4 on and 4 off from 06:00 to 18:00.

Qualifications:
  • A solid understanding of airfreight processes is desirable.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely to achieve positive results.
  • Pro-active organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
  • Fluent in English.
