About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust as the Head of Physical Healthcare and Education. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our physical healthcare services and provide expert clinical advice and leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical healthcare services, ensuring the registered and unregistered nursing workforce delivers the highest standards of care. They will also be responsible for the operational lead for the learning from deaths work, ensuring appropriate and effective learning from mortality reviews.

We are looking for a candidate who shares our Trust values of being Welcoming, Kind, Positive, Respectful, and Professional. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical healthcare, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide operational nursing advice and expertise, leadership, and management in physical healthcare
  • Ensure the registered and unregistered nursing workforce delivers the highest standards of healthcare
  • Lead the learning from deaths work, ensuring appropriate and effective learning from mortality reviews
  • Work as an independent and autonomous practitioner in the field of physical health care
Requirements
  • First Level Registered General Nurse (RGN)
  • Educated at Masters Level in healthcare related subject
  • Evidence of continuous professional and management development
  • Professional leadership course
  • Coaching qualifications
  • Research qualifications
