**Job Title:** Head of Learning and Development

**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced and innovative professional to lead our Learning and Development function at Devon & Cornwall Police. As the Head of Learning and Development, you will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our officers and staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Design and deliver training programs that meet the needs of our officers and staff
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop solutions
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in learning and development

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in learning and development, preferably in a policing or law enforcement environment
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
