Education Support Professional - Welsh Medium

We are seeking a motivated and bilingual Education Support Professional to join our school in Cardiff. As a Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and development, while promoting the Welsh language and culture within education.

About the Role

This position involves working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, develop lesson plans, and provide essential support to pupils. You will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and collaboration among students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons and activities, ensuring they are accessible to all students.
  • Provide guidance and support to individual pupils or small groups, helping them meet their learning goals.
  • Develop and maintain a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
  • Monitor and encourage pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers as needed.
  • Assist with classroom organisation and administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth running of the school day.
Salary and Benefits

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Fluent Welsh speaker (essential).
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • A commitment to promoting the Welsh language and culture within education.
