Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a primary school in London. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children with Autism and strong behaviour management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to children in the ASC provision
- Assist the class teacher in adapting and delivering lessons suited to students with Autism
- Support student's social, emotional, and behavioural development, ensuring a positive learning environment
- Help manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a calm and focused atmosphere
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience as a learning support assistant working with students with Autism is highly desirable, ideally within an ASC provision
- Behaviour Management: Strong behaviour management skills are essential for success in this learning support assistant role
- DBS: Applicants must hold a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one through Reeson Education to be added to the Update Service
