About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team within Older Peoples' Mental Health Inpatient Ward in Peterborough. The successful candidate will work with older adults with both functional and organic mental health conditions, providing specialist assessments and treatments as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Occupational Therapy and expertise, providing specialist Occupational Therapy interventions underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation and the principles of recovery.
  • Provide Occupational Therapy assessments, advice, and interventions to support patients to engage in occupational activity and increase function.
  • Act autonomously in the assessment and treatment of patients with complex needs, including those with a wide range of mental health conditions, including dementia.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient-focused care in line with identified evidence-based practice, local, and national standards.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to assure a high standard of care for service users and their relatives/carers.
