Senior Climate Change Consultant

Action Sustainability is a leading consultancy that inspires sustainable business. We are seeking an experienced climate change and carbon consultant with a passion for sustainability and making a difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver complex climate and carbon projects for clients, leveraging expertise in climate change macro-level issues, carbon accounting and reporting, and successful implementation of these into corporate strategy.
  • Engage senior directors and commercial stakeholders from various sectors to identify new opportunities and lead the team in winning new work, fostering strong relationships and trust with clients.
  • Develop and implement carbon reduction strategies, providing expert advice on carbon metrics, KPIs, and data measurement and reporting, ensuring seamless integration with other service offerings.
  • Coordinate and deliver training to clients on climate change and carbon, both through Action Sustainability's Consultancy business and the Supply Chain School, utilizing expertise in public speaking and facilitating interactive workshops.
  • Collaborate with the Sustainability Tool business to provide advice on carbon metrics, KPIs, and data measurement and reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and client needs.
Requirements
  • Deep experience and expertise in climate change macro-level issues, carbon accounting and reporting, and successful implementation of these into corporate strategy.
  • Understanding and experience of related sustainability impacts, such as air quality, waste and resource efficiency, and biodiversity, and how they impact on carbon.
  • A clear understanding of the interactions between clients, suppliers/contractors, budget holders, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in delivering training, facilitating interactive workshops, and public speaking.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage a diverse portfolio of projects.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, flexible environment within a small but highly influential business.

  • Reporting to: Head of Consultancy & Climate
  • Qualifications: Degree or equivalent industry experience.
