Job Summary:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a SEND Learning Assistant. In this role, you will provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a classroom environment.


Responsibilities:

  2. Manage and support the behaviour of pupils with additional needs within a classroom environment.\
  3. De-escalate any behavioural concerns during lessons in an appropriate manner and in accordance to safeguarding specifications.\
  4. Be prepared and confident in supporting the students with their learning and additional requirements.\
  5. Have a non-judgemental approach to students and their learning abilities.\
  6. Awareness of safeguarding practices and the importance of effective pastoral care.

Requirements:

  • A consistent and objective approach to pupils both in and outside of the classroom.\
  • Passion about educating young people and instilling confidence in students' abilities in lessons.\
  • Knowledge and awareness of SEN needs and any implemented academic adjustments.\
  • A proven track record in similar roles or institutions and the right to work in the UK.\
  • Enthusiasm and proactive attitude towards the role.\
  • Non-judgemental approach to students and their learning abilities.\
  • Ability to de-escalate any behavioural concerns during lessons in an appropriate manner and in accordance to safeguarding specifications.
