Cellular Origins, a leading bioprocess automation company, is driving innovation in cell therapy manufacturing. We're seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Job Summary

The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for building, testing, and debugging complex electro-mechanical product prototypes and test systems. This role requires hands-on experience with products or instruments in an R&D setting, involved in building, commissioning, testing, and iterative debugging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test electro-mechanical systems and prototypes
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers to develop and implement design solutions
  • Debug mechanical and electrical operation in conjunction with subject experts
  • Conduct informal testing to identify and resolve issues
  • Contribute to the generation of build documentation and design improvements
  • Design and fabricate assembly and test jigs as required
  • Maintain organized and tidy build areas

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum level 3 Mechanical Engineering diploma
  • Confident and accurate written and verbal communication
  • Intermediate use of MS Office applications
  • Expert user of hand tools, metrology, and test instruments
  • Expertise in the use of manual mill and lathe an advantage
