Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team at AMETEK. As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for completing mechanical and electrical assembly work to technical drawings and CMMs.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly work to drawing and/or CMMs, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Carry out electro/mechanical work, including fan/motors and heaters, to drawing and/or CMMs.
- Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, such as torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, and verniers.
- Solder small components and perform brazing tasks.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical tests as defined in process control documents, including flash, resistance, and inductance tests.
- Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures and complete relevant documentation.
- Provide information and assistance to customers, suppliers, and visitors from other companies within our group.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities to enhance quality and output.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Perform ad hoc duties, including training colleagues and brief secondments to other departments.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and CMMs.
- Knowledge of tools, including circlip pliers, pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, scrapers, and Swiss files.
- Soldering skills on small components.
- Experience with machines, lathes, drills, and other equipment.
- Brazing skills (desirable).
- Previous experience in a production environment, assembling electro/mechanical products.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate at all levels.
- Methodical and logical approach to work.
- Good time management and self-motivation.
- Professional attitude and ability to handle pressure well.
