Job Title: Senior Finance Assistant

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join their Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial accounting functions of the Trust by producing and maintaining accurate and timely financial information.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the financial accounting functions of the Trust by producing and maintaining accurate and timely financial information.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the finance department's objectives.
  • Be committed to the Trust's values and overall Trust strategy.
Requirements:
  • AAT Technician/NVQ Accounting Level 4 or equivalent qualification (or studying towards) or Equivalent Experience.
  • Five GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English grade C or above.
  • Knowledge of Online General Ledger computer systems.
  • Effective verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Effective user of Excel.
  • Able to prioritise own workload in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Be numerate and accurate with a meticulous approach to work.
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate problem-solving initiative.
