Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our social services department, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families.
Responsibilities
- Assessing the needs of children and families, identifying areas for support and developing effective plans to address these needs.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support is provided to families.
- Providing guidance and education to families on various topics, including child development, parenting skills, and community resources.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all interactions and interventions with families.
- Participating in regular supervision and training to enhance professional development and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements
- A degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a family support or social work setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
