About the Role

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager to join our team. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for driving new bids and proposals for our clients in the Rail Sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with account management teams to develop and implement bid strategies
  • Manage and update management tools to ensure bid governance and compliance
  • Coordinate technical, financial, and commercial deliverables for bids and proposals
  • Develop and promote bid and proposal strategies to ensure competitiveness and minimize risk
  • Act as the primary contact and leader for bid and proposal related matters throughout the process
  • Prepare and present bid and proposal review and approval documentation to stakeholders
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including learnings and improvements for future bids and proposals
  • Negotiate with customers to ensure successful bid outcomes
  • Transfer information from the bid and proposal team to the project delivery team
  • Manage related budgets accurately and with transparency
  • Drive efficiencies and improvements in bid and proposal processes
Requirements
  • Proven experience in bid and proposal management in the Engineering and Rail sectors
  • Strong understanding of public procurement and frameworks
  • Knowledge of bid and proposal management tools and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Customer-focused and commercially aware negotiator
Qualifications
  • IEE, MIRSE, or APMP qualifications desirable
  • Degree-level education in a related subject
  • Experience in bid and proposal management in the Engineering and Rail sectors
