Ribbons and Reeves are partnering with a school in Barnet to recruit an experienced SEN Support Assistant. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with qualified SEND professionals, Specialist Teachers and Educational Psychologists to provide high-quality support to students with special educational needs.
About the RoleThis SEN Support Assistant role is a great opportunity for an aspiring Clinical or Educational Psychologist to gain some fantastic experience in a SEND setting and make a difference in students' lives. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment and develop your skills and knowledge in a specialist area.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and supporting students' learning.
- Have a calming and nurturing nature around vulnerable children.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the students, guaranteeing a safe environment for all children.
To be successful in this SEN Support Assistant role, you will need:
- A minimum 2:1 Psychology related degree from a top 20 UK university.
- Previous experience working with children with SEND is very desirable.
The salary for this SEN Support Assistant role is estimated to be £28,000 per annum (based on a 40-week contract). The school also offers a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.
