Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Macklin Care Homes. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their social, emotional, and physical needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional care to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Support the nursing team in providing person-centred care, adhering to the Patient Charter of Rights and Nursing Home Minimum Standards.
  • Enrich the lives of residents through the delivery of activities, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Update and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with resident care policies and procedures.
  • Support care assistants in providing high-quality care, ensuring they meet individual care plans.
  • Act as a role model, fostering a positive and professional work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a caring role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Ability to work under pressure, using your own initiative to resolve issues.
  • High standard of personal presentation and attention to detail.
  • Good standard of verbal and written English.
