CareTech Group is seeking a dedicated Care Professional to lead our Residential Deputy Manager team in Tiverton.

Salary: £14,540 - £15,220 per annum, plus £30 sleep-in allowance

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and resilient individual to support children and young people in a holistic child-centered and trauma-informed way. As a Residential Deputy Manager, you will work closely with our clinical and educational colleagues to improve outcomes for our children.

You will be responsible for assisting the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose, deputising in the absence of the registered manager, and supporting and managing staff to meet the needs of the children and young people.

The role may include working on shift with some weekends and sleep-ins.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose
  • Deputise in the absence of the registered manager
  • Support and manage staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate
  • Be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people
Requirements
  • Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Working towards or holds a level 5 Diploma leadership and management residential childcare
  • Current full driving license
  • At least 3 years' experience in Residential children's Care which includes supervisory experience
