Specialist Academic Support Worker

Randstad Student Support is seeking a Specialist Academic Support Worker to provide one-to-one study skills support to students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) at universities and colleges in Manchester.
The role is a hybrid position, requiring flexibility to travel to local universities or colleges and offer both in-person and online sessions to meet student preferences.
As a Specialist Academic Support Worker, you will create individualized learning plans tailored to students' needs, promoting independence and academic growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing strategies for independence, organization, and time management
- Building on students' strengths and learning strategies
- Creating action plans to stay on track with studies
- Enhancing research skills and comprehension abilities
Requirements for the role include:
- Membership with a relevant professional body, such as the British Dyslexia Association or the Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
