About the Role:


We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Technical Underwriter to join our team at Premier Guarantee. As a key member of our underwriting community, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional underwriting expertise and playing a critical role in shaping our underwriting strategy.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and refine underwriting guidelines and policies in collaboration with the management team.
  • Support the business in improving the underwriting process, reducing leakage, and ensuring a best-in-class customer proposition.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement in underwriting processes and pricing.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to support the development of underwriting staff, ensuring a consistent approach and conducting peer reviews to support learning and development.
  • Work with the Reporting & Pricing Analyst to develop new analytical tools and methodologies.
  • Ensure consistency in contractual and policy documentation with company standards, aligned to our underwriting strategy.
  • Collaborate with QGU, Legal & Claims, to help align wordings with underwriting intent.
  • Lead in the innovative development of new and existing products and services in collaboration with the Head of Technical Underwriting.
