Unlock Your Potential as a Senior Technical Underwriter

At The Huntsman Group, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you'll be responsible for refining underwriting guidelines, developing new underwriting tools, and mentoring junior underwriters.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with our management team to develop and refine underwriting policies and guidelines
* Proactively support the business in improving the underwriting process, reducing leakage, and delivering a top-notch customer proposition
* Use data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement in underwriting processes and pricing
* Mentor and coach underwriting staff to ensure a consistent approach and conduct peer reviews to support learning and development
* Work with our Reporting & Pricing team to develop new analytical tools and methodologies
* Ensure consistency in contractual and policy documentation with company standards
* Collaborate with QGU Legal & Claims to align wordings with underwriting intent

The Ideal Candidate
* Strong underwriting knowledge (ACII or working towards it is a bonus)
* Pragmatic decision maker with analytics and reasoning skills
* Ownership & Accountability for performance
* Deliver results (we're results-driven, not just process-driven)

Salary DOE
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service)
