At AXA Commercial, we're looking for a skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Manchester team. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you'll play a critical role in managing the profitability and income of the branch, owning the financial results for designated accounts and brokers.

The ideal candidate will have technical underwriting expertise in a commercial insurance environment, a sound understanding of insurance market and processes across commercial lines insurance operations, and excellent interpersonal skills. They'll also have proven experience in decision making on a wide range of technical underwriting scenarios within a Commercial environment.

As a Senior Underwriter, you'll work closely with the Underwriting team to develop and implement underwriting strategies, manage risk, and drive business growth. You'll also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and stakeholders, and for developing and implementing effective risk management strategies.

We're looking for someone who is a pragmatic decision maker with good analytical and numerical reasoning skills, and who is able to work effectively in a team environment. If you have a strong trading capability, commercial awareness, and negotiation skills, and if you're able to build strong broker relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
