About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Community Academies Trust. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires strong financial knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will have high expectations, a deep understanding of financial compliance, and the ability to build strong relationships with schools across the Midlands area.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for ensuring the Trust's financial scheme of delegation, policies, and procedures are consistently complied with and aligned to ESFA and UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.

You will assist the Business Support Manager in welcoming new schools into the Trust, inducting them into our financial processes, and helping to set budgets and produce financial models.

This role involves traveling to multiple schools across the Midlands area and contributing to the provision of financial management information to the CFO and Trust Executive Group.

Additionally, you may be involved in procurement projects to obtain best value for the Trust and its schools and in designing and rolling out new and improved financial systems.

Community Academies Trust is a multi-academy trust dedicated to transforming schools in community hubs through a holistic approach to education.

About You

  • You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with schools and colleagues.
  • You should have a strong understanding of financial compliance and be able to ensure the Trust's financial scheme of delegation, policies, and procedures are consistently complied with.
  • You will be willing to travel to multiple schools across the Midlands area and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with financial software and systems.
  • You will contribute to the provision of financial management information to the CFO and Trust Executive Group.
