Kier Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our engineering consultancy division, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of civil and structural related services in Temporary and Permanent Works throughout the Kier business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and checking of Temporary Works, above and below ground, in all materials, integrated with Permanent Works design if applicable.
  • Delivery of alternative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's reputation and competitive position.
  • Tender stage and bid winning support, focusing on buildability, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Technical assessment and review of 3rd party designs, ensuring compliance with the brief to meet client and Kier requirements.

Requirements

  • Several years of post-graduate experience in Temporary Works Design or a related field.
  • Full UK driving license.
