Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure optimal supply chain efficiency. This includes negotiating contracts, building strong relationships with suppliers, and monitoring market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for multiple countries
  • Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Manage and analyze procurement data to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement / buying / purchasing within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (SAP preferred)
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable working across tactical and strategic workload (includes PO management)
